As I enter the final week 11 of the BuzzStart fully funded (yes) digital skills bootcamp for women in business. I have mixed emotions, whilst I'm sad it's coming to an end I'm delighted at the skills and mindset shift learnt.

I'm delighted to have applied and passed the rigorous application process, I truly appreciate the high value and opportunity this course offers to applicants who are both self-employed and unemployed which is wonderful. As newly self employed with SW Consulting a business sales and marketing consultancy the course offered vital digital upskills, refresh and real life-in demand skills that will benefit my business and clients. I felt my knowledge was a little sketchy so it was a golden opportunity for me to build on these skills.

The Founder and Trainers are trained by Google and Facebook's go to Digital Skills Trained Expert Specialists, this made me feel I was with credible qualified specialists. High quality content on the virtual campus that is available 24/7 is also impressive.

I would like to congratulate the trainers on their delivery of the course. Their personalities, support and extensive experience in business communication, especially as they are running their own successful digital agencies and fully understand client requests, demands and real world challenges of running a digital business. This makes all the difference and is invaluable.

I would highly recommend and rate this course as a high value outstanding course with real take-aways that will benefit you going forward. All the ladies in my cohort and previous and successive cohorts are wonderful people. The graduation event in Manchester at Ernst & Young was a perfect way to close the course with some truly inspirational role models who have gone from strength to strength on completion of the course. One of best things I have done. It's what you make it, plenty of relevant interesting knowledge to be found. Thank you to all at BuzzStart Academy.

When I was signing up for Digital Marketing for Women, a Talent Bootcamp by the Buzzstart Academy, I had no idea that in the short span of 10 weeks, I would learn so much.

I have a background in advertising and marketing. I took a career break after getting married and moving to England seven years ago and was looking to start work again. This bootcamp was a godsend as it helped me learn new skills required to transition from traditional to digital marketing.

I had two wonderful tutors who are experts in their fields. Learning about Digital Marketing from the amazing Suzie Smith was a joy! With her unique method of teaching, laughter and learning came in equal measures. I have a new perspective on the workings of Social Media, have learned how to make a marketing strategy and conduct a digital channel research among a host of other skills. Something I could never have believed possible to do before. I miss her sessions so much!

The Employability module was a surprising bonus for all students. It taught me a new way of thinking about myself; some exercises were very introspective and emotional for me as I had never asked myself the questions it required. I have learned how to make a digital portfolio, prepare for interviews, design thinking, mind mapping and so much more. To learn all this from Rachel Hammond, an immensely experienced and knowledgeable marketer was such a privilege. Her very caring, kind, approachable and helping manner is something I will never forget.

Throughout our course we had the support and guidance of mentors who were very helpful whenever anyone had any questions or uncertainties, fears, or apprehensions. I was part of a cohort of remarkable women from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ages. Getting to know them has been a pleasure. I am very happy that I have made some very good friends in this journey.

The course has been so much more than just about Digital Marketing. It’s been a transformative experience. If anyone has any nagging self-doubt or uncertainty whether this course is for them or whether they will be able to do it, I would say just go for it. You will not regret it.

I joined the Talent programme provided by the Buzzstart Academy in 2022. This was one of the best things that I done in the last few years. I had amazing tutors and mentors. During the 12 weeks I have learnt a lot about digital marketing and I enjoyed every bit of it. The content is brilliant, the environment is very supportive and friendly. I count myself very lucky to be part of the BuzzStart community.
During the course I was able to work on my self confidence and thanks to Rachel Hammond who was one of my tutor I have learnt a lot about myself. She helped me a lot during my journey. I joined this amazing course and it has been an interesting course and eye opener and it has helped me to be more digital. Although, It was a bit challenging initially but I was able to find my way around it. This course has helped me to have a better understanding and indebt knowledge about what digital marketing is, discover my hidden skills, build my confidence and self esteem and also prepare me for my next digital marketing job opportunity with all the necessary tools.

Being able to work in a team to complete a team Projects with outstanding feedback, and completing individual Projects gives me more confidence. All our mentors are well equipped, knowledgeable highly supportive.

All the knowledge I have acquired can be transfer into building my future business and be successful. During this course, I have been given the opportunity to achieved Digital Garage Certificate for the beginners, Google Analytics Certificate for the Beginners and Advance Google Analytics and working towards achieving Facebook blueprint Certificate, this wouldn't have been possible without buzzstart.

I recommend this amazing course to women who needs change of career or less privileged to take this course and occupy the leadership positions in the digital world.

Taking part in Talent has been hugely positive for me in many ways. The content of the digital marketing classes is high-level and really interesting. The sessions cover all aspects of digital marketing and I have learned so much in a short time. The new digital skills complement my background in journalism and are exactly what employers are looking for right now, so it’s a really exciting time.

But as well as digital marketing, it’s the other side of the course which focuses onncareers and employability and improving confidence which sets the course apart and has helped me so much. The sessions give training in writing a CV and cover letter, how to put together a digital portfolio and fantastic advice on tackling interviews - all the things necessary to get a job with a digital employer today. It was all guided by really figuring out our skills and what we want from work.

And vitally there is a big focus on improving confidence, tackling self-doubt and achieving a mindset to believe that anything is possible. I love what BuzzStart is doing to empower women and shake up some outdated thinking and practices in the working world.

Very importantly, it was great fun. The trainers are really supportive and it’s been amazing working with the other women - I’ve laughed a lot. I can honestly say doing the course has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. It has given me with the skills, knowledge and mindset to grow my own digital business, or work in multiple roles in the digital sector. My new digital skills perfectly complement my journalism background and this sets me on a really exciting path.

This course was exactly what I needed to find my way into the digital marketing industry. I was nervous before the bootcamp. Having a passion for all things digital, I decided to take a leap of faith and study digital marketing in-depth. I thought it would be like cramming for a test, but our trainers made it enjoyable. This course has helped me learn everything I need to know about effective strategies in the field. We had lots of hands-on practice working on digital campaigns, lead magnets, CV and digital portfolio which came in handy after the bootcamp.
I now feel confident about my career as a digital marketer. The trainers were professional, engaging, and down to earth. I got away with a wealth of knowledge, understanding of how the digital marketing sector works and what is needed to engage on it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the BuzzStart Digital Marketing Bootcamp, I’ve always been interested in Digital Marketing but have never been able to find the time to do any training. The course is packed full of really interesting and useful sessions delivered in an interactive and engaging way. The trainers are fantastic, and I have loved getting to know the other delegates during the session, everyone is so supportive and encouraging. I have learned a huge amount in such a short space of time, including completing the Google Digital Garage and Google Analytics courses.
