I have visited a college today 5/12/2023 and i was shocked when i have seen the car park of the college. The college car park has really large port hole full of water. My car has dropped into it.I would like to draw an attention to admin should look this matter on the priority bases and fix this issue. Lot of disabled and special students needs to use the car park to access their cars and its not safe . I have attached the pictures of the car park .

I studied the Level 2 Certificate In Photography course and I enjoyed it. The course was always engaging and the work was fun as well as educational. The tutors were very polite and were very helpful throughout the entire year. Highly recommend this course!

I spent 8 months going to college at Bucks College Group Flackwell Campus and in my time there I have had a few problems but ultimately it wasn’t too much of a painful experience but I most certainly will not be coming back.

Advantages;
- I found the tutor on the course exceptionally helpful during the whole year, he was very knowledgeable and could help to learn the syllabus by teaching certain aspects in different ways so that you can understand it

Disadvantages;
- During my time at BCG I did six exams. During these six exams I have had a few problems with two of them. The first exam that I tool we were booked into a room where we were supposed to have exam conditions and they booked a practical plumbing exam which caused significant interruption. Following this interruption, we were booked into an alternative room after we informed the examiner of this problem.
- During my time here, at the beginning, I was stopped often by the security often even though I had my ID badge which allows access to the doors on me at the time.
- Communication during the time that I studied here from the tutors and the college admit were poor. We had heavy snow during and close to one of our exams and we did not know what was happening as no one contacted us about it and told us the exam would be cancelled and moved but we had an option to move. The whole situation was very confusing for all the students involved and made the time around the exam much more stressful.

A good point to take from the above issues I have had with the college is that during the end of my time studying here the college was showing signs of improvement regarding the communications. The last exam that I sat at this college they did bring in a system that both emailed and texted the students to inform them that they have been booked into the exam.

From my experience I cannot recommend the college, the only reason why I stayed at the college was the tutor that held the classes.

A small point to note is that the car park has a significant speedbump before you get to the student’s car park. I understand why they have this, but it is severe and on more than one occasion I have scraped the bottom of my car on it, even when I go extremely slowly over it.

So I rate this college a two star.

I do an IT course here and I rate that a five star. The college itself is actually horrible.

Lets first start off with the surrounding area. You actually have a lot to do and explore. They have a good area to explore and the field that is in front of the reception is actually alright. If you keep exploring down you will be greeted with the a graveyard. If you are unlucky then you will be walking on dog poo. You can also go to Amersham Town which isn't that far.

The food itself is below average and it is absolutely disgusting. I brought a cheese sandwich once and I took a bite out of it and it was stale. The cheese didn't even taste like cheese. What the hell are they trying to sell? How hard is it to make a simple cheese sandwich? If they are not making it where are they buying it? Some of the staff that work in the canteen are nice but they don't really say much other than the one working at the front reception who is really nice. The prices are a rip-off.

The HUB is really annoying because I was helping a group of friends and a teacher went up to me and said leave or find a desk that has a computer. So I couldn't work. Later that day, at lunch, me and my friend were going to get a laptop. They handed a laptop that didn't even work and they don't even check to see if they work they just hand it to you. The laptops are very slow and can't even do a simple basic task. The ladies at the reception in the HUB don't even smile expect for one. Also on Monday I was working and a group of students started playing music out loud from their phones and disturbing people. The teacher didn't even realise what was going on and was randomly yelling at people.

The college smells all the time. If it isn't the toilets then I'm not sure what smells so foul then. I don't even have the courage to eat my food in the hallway.

The large canteen has a place where people can stay and relax. It used to have a game console where people could play with against each other but they removed it because people kept on stealing games. But you can still relax on the sofas or play in the games room.

The college itself isn't even that secure. Last year someone drunk walked into the college and started swearing at people. You could almost walk in without a badge and not be noticed. They have one security guard that does nothing. If you don't have your badge he just asks you to put your badge on but he doesn't follow if you ignore him he just stands there grinning as if nothing happened.

Honestly if your a parent and what good education for your son/daughter then don't go to this college. If you have no other choice then recommend the IT course because the teachers there are actually really good and they guide students.

this college was a bit of a mixed bag for me. there was a lot i loved about the place, but also a lot i didn't like about it.

first i'll start with the positives, this place gives you independence and freedom to wonder around, you can even go to town during break times. the tutors and staff here are mostly very friendly and respectful. i also made lots of new friends who i cherish and all of those things are what i love the most about this college.

and now for the negatives, this is not a place to go to if you want to learn any new skills. i studied media and art here and learnt nothing useful at all. on the art course, they don't even teach you how to draw or paint better, they just expect you to already know how to do these things. you do still get to draw and paint but that actually becomes rarer later on and for the most part, you just do pointless write up work about what you think of this artist's works and the details of their art, it was all very pointless and there was no educational value in any of that. the media course was also the same, since they don't teach you anything about how to make movies and it's also just more useless write up work. on both courses they offer photoshop, but of course, they do not teach you how to use the program and they just expect you to figure it on your own, which ironically isn't really teaching.

there were also a lot of disruptive students who liked to make noise, disturb other students and misbehave, and the staff just seemed to let them do whatever they pleased. it was all very lazy and unprofessional.

also the food in the cafeteria is godawful, most of it being cheap processed junk and very flat food too. you'd be better off walking to amersham town for lunch time.

and back in 2016, we had this thing called late cards, where if we were late, we'd have to write down on a piece of paper why we were delayed and then give them to the teachers. what exactly is the point of that when you could just tell the staff face to face why you were late? the teachers would also always end up throwing the cards in the bin, making it even more pointless. eventually they scrapped the late card idea because they realized it was just stupid, too bad it took them a year to figure this out though.

overall, i only recommend this place if you have nothing better to do and if you just want to make new friends. however if you're looking for an education, then look elsewhere because, as already mentioned, you'll learn nothing here.

A wonderful 3 or 4G Astro pitch that Wycombe Wanderers youth use for training. Big open aspect and great parking with spectator space all the way round the pitch. Really enjoyed my trip there.

I attended the Flackwell campus when it was under the name Amersham & Wycombe College. Not gonna lie if I could I’d have rated the college a zero. When I was here, there were quite a few tutors that were genuinely good. There was one particular tutor who was more interested in your personal life than actually helping you and had favourites. Towards the end of the course it was also impossible to get work marked to you could leave, and you had to pile on pressure on the tutors to get it marked as there were people like myself who were heading off to university. Could go on forever if I’m honest. Only good from being here was finishing my course and getting a decent grade, and also the class that I was in, we all got on well.

I started at this college as a 15 year old high school dropout with no GCSEs and no confidence. Now I’m leaving to go to Portsmouth Law School with a scholarship and a much brighter future. The college isn’t perfect but if you put the work in you will get rewarded. ✨
