By far the best B&Q we have been in so far!

I am a disabled / blind person who accessed the Store with my Carer recently to buy paints.

I must say the staff are very disability aware and friendly and the assistance provided was excellent.

In our experience, the customer service delivery is nothing short of excellent!

Staff in particular:

Vicky (Paint Mixing Desk): Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - very patient and nothing is too much trouble.

Carol (Shop Floor Assistant): Again, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, who gives great advice! Carol is the nice lady with wonderful blue/purple hair - you can't miss her when you go in.
Lynne (Checkout): Friendly and helpful - good advice.

We're quite sure, all the other staff are just as good :0)

These staff are a credit to B&Q - we feel a staff bonus is well over due.

Thanks again ladies, for a wonderful service.

I needed advice on ahesives for shoe repair.
'Tay' advised us of the area in which to locate the product. Not only did he follow and advise upon goods, he explained and helped us enormously.
Well done 'Tay'

Clifton Moor B & Q is the worst B & Q I have ever been to. Staff are unhelpful, all stand around checkout talking about personal stuff and when you ask them for help to check out something they all look annoyed that you broke up their party. The toilets never work and when you ask them they always give some pathetic excuse that shows they actually could care less. I'll be finding my nearest wickes for DIY and garden centres for garden stuff because this branch doesnt deserve my money.

Julian was a great help to me and my husband ordering large timber pieces and in helping with some very large and heavy shelving. He measured and tested that we could manage it in the car safely. He was very friendly and lovely to talk to. Many thanks for your help today.

I went to B&Q to get a quote to update my kitchen
cupboards.
The whole experience was difficult to organise with staff regarding measurements as it had to be measured twice due to the guy at the kitchen section didn’t understand the measurements .
We then had to go back again after they re measured only to be told the guy who has the new measurements was off for 5 days & no one else could access them.
We were overcharged over £700 due to wrong measurements !!
We took the extra stock back & were quizzed to why we made a mistake .
The staff were unhelpful & rude & made us feel so uncomfortable for returning the excess stock they over ordered .
I had left a message for customer support to contact us but no one’s bothered to get back to us I’d go somewhere else that were competent & not over charge .

It's OK, however it's very expensive and some of the prices are disgusting, no wonder why people are ordering via online stores for major items ie tools, drill bits and items like that or places like amazon for things such as tape and silicone etc 7 pound for 3 slim rolls of cheapest masking tape ... £1 in most places, even your own brand rollers and brushes are a mortgage, they're nearly as expensive as brand such as purdy, Hamilton and wooster, nothing but a convenience fee if you ask me.

Gave 3 star as staff are always pleasant and "normally" has what you need if your in a pinch aside from clear silicone for less than £7 a tube

I like the ‘pick and mix’ option when buying only a few screws of different sizes. It’s probably been on offer for years but I’ve only just stumbled across it. £3.50 for a small plastic bag that you fill up with what you like - very handy.

I have been there few good times in last two months and their toilets are always out of order.Bit hard to understand that big warehouse you send hundreds every vist and they don't have working facility.
