In my opinion, It was not a good place to work for MANY reasons. It definitely would not be my first choice. If your values include integrity, morals, respect and fairness, this may not be a good fit for you. I had to furnish my own bath tissue. Holiday pay depends on the building, some get paid, others don't. Really think about this one.....

I have worked for Blackwell for over a year and I have been able to work my way from a part time employee, to full time to a lead. During the interview process they gave a clear definition of the job and what would be expected from me. Also I was able to express my future concerns regarding medical care I had to do for my son. Mrs. Blackwell made me feel comfortable while expressing what the future may look like if I was an employee. Throughout my employment the entire staff has made me feel supported in all decisions regarding my work environment all while supporting all time off I have needed to care for my son. When they said they treat people like family they meant every word of it. I have received raises along with my promotions and I'm glad I joined this company. They appreciate your hard work and it pays off if you're willing to put in the hard work.

The owner and Chicago director have extensive connections in the military and law enforcement fields and use their equipment and Intel gathering to extort and blackmail people for paydays.

Oh they're very professional about it though ?

I am a current employee and look forward to going to work every day! My experiences with Blackwell have all been very positive, beginning with the initial phone call I received to schedule my interview 2+ years ago. Like with any business, there will be hiccups along the way, but what sets Blackwell apart is ownership. Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell are genuinely invested in the success of each employee they hire. They are fair and kind people who understand without happy, dedicated employees, business cannot prosper. And, with this in mind, they go above and beyond to ensure employees feel appreciated! Though, employees also have to do their part because just as with each of their employees, ownership highly values the clients we all work to serve. Maintaining our schedule, arriving timely and performing our duties as assigned to us prevents unnecessary hardships. When we fall short, our responsibilities can quickly become a burden to our teammates and negatively affect our client relationships. This presents a problem for everyone! I encourage any professional who takes pride in their work to apply. Personally, I hope to be a part of Blackwell's continuing growth and success for years to come!

I've been with the company for almost a year now and so far they've given me nothing to complain about. I feel very respected and appreciated by everyone, I view my pay as very appropriate for both my experience and work ethic, and I love that they prefer to give employees promotions rather than hire new people for open positions. Blackwell has been nothing short of amazing in my opinion. I recommend them to everyone who's in need of employment

If you are any kind of of professional, do NOT work for this company. They set you up to fail from the beginning. Only company I have worked for that screws up your pay and makes you pick up a paper check a day after payday. They sent me to a post that doesn't even have a desk phone to contact authorities, but say employees can't use cell phones. I have pictures to prove it all. The district managers are highly unprofessional and can't do the jobs they demand from their employees. The fact that they can't answer their own phone is proof enough. If your looking for a dependable security company, dont choose this one. Buy a dog.

Blackwell has been very good to me.
They hired me with no experience in the field of security and now I’m the Training lead at my location.
They’ve given me every opportunity to succeed and I’m very grateful for them.

This employer (family-owned) likes to give his staff cookies for A "Christmas employee thank you." We literally as being unarmed officers at a building in Clayton and really can't leave the premises & I remember very well getting a cookie for my appreciation during a pandemic in December 2019. The managing staff shows favoritism to the worst employees. No diversity or correct leadership but Mr.Gray is a cool fellow.
