Jen is a friendly and enthusiastic person with a mind-boggling amount of information to share for potential voice actors. (She sends a complete set of notes after each session, which is much appreciated...) She is attentive, patient, a stellar listener and very encouraging. I would highly recommend Foundations of Voice Acting for newbies like myself who don't even know what questions to ask... I feel blessed to have found Jen and this unique opportunity. Our group was quite small, which was a bonus. Lots of individual hands-on-mouth-in-action time ! I am now really looking forward to having fun doing voice acting as my next career. Thank you, Jen !

If you are interested in starting a career in voice acting, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Foundations of Voice Acting course, run by Between the Cans. Your host is Jen (one of the nicest people you could wish to meet!) and it only takes a couple of hours each week, for four weeks, to learn the specific voice acting techniques for commercials, computer games, narration and animation. In addition, you'll get all the advice you could wish for on setting up and setting out in the world of voice acting, from the best equipment, how to get jobs, when to take the next step, what to charge for your services and more. You, and a handful of other newbies, will be invited to try out scripts and will get individual direction (and encouragement!) from Jen, to ensure you improve week on week. It doesn't feel like hard work at all and you will save yourself so much time - instead of Googling and not being able to trust the answers you get, why not find out the essentials from someone with over 15 years' experience in the sector. Jen has a lovely way of being constructive and encouraging at the same time. She genuinely cares about her students and that comes through clearly. You honestly couldn’t ask for more in a coach. Simply put, Jen’s great!
