The perfect place to stay: not far from St Andrews, calm, a warm welcome, wonderful and helpful hosts, interesting conversations, a great breakfast with healthy food on our plates , comfortable beds and a spotless bathroom. A wonderful experience!

Albert Cottage is a very nice, traditional B&B. We had two rooms on the first floor, which were spacious enough and very clean. Parking was available at the back of the house and we were welcome to enter the house through the kitchen. Jackie and Robin are wonderful and very friendly hosts. We enjoyed, in particular, their breakfast, which was always freshly prepared from mostly local produce (e.g. home-made granola, jam or eggs from local sources, freshly squeezed orange juice, special East Neuk oat cakes etc.). Reliable and fast WiFi. The B&B's location is very good to explore the area and it is a nice stroll down to the harbour and into the village. Good value for money.

We had a wonderful stay in this very welcoming B&B.
Jackie and Robin are super hosts, friendly and helpful and good cooks! Our breakfasts were tasty and filling. Our room was spacious, very clean and the bathroom was superb. We had extra touches in the room like welcoming biscuits and fresh milk offered too.
We recommend evening meal at West End Bar just across the road. Nothing much to look at from the outside but the food is wonderful and the owners are lovely. We had a great night in there watching the England v Spain final!
We also had trouble with our car whilst there and we were so lucky to find a little garage in Anstruther run by such a lovely man, Alan, who went out of his way to help us, even though he was extremely busy! Jackie was so lovely and helpful by giving us a lift in her car to Anstruther to pick ours up.
If you stay here, be sure to visit St Monans, Elie (the Old Ship Inn recommended), Pittenweem itself, Anstruther for great fish and chips, Crail, St Andrews!
All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this traditional B&B to anyone!

We enjoyed four nights in Pittenweem during the Arts Festival. Jackie and Robin were the perfect hosts - knowledgeable, generous and thoughtful. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious and parking a real plus. We'd thoroughly recommend Albert Cottage.

We had stayed at Albert Cottage a few years ago and were not disappointed by our 2nd visit a couple of weeks ago. Jackie and Robin are very welcoming hosts and their property is both spotless and welcoming. Breakfast was always made to order and consisted of quality local produce, well presented.||||The weather was kind to us and we saw round most of the East Neuk in the 4 days we were there. Eating out, we chose the West End Bar and Clocktower Café in Pittenweem and Eastern Touch in Anstruther, all of which were very good. ||||We would definitely stay at Albert Cottage again and look forward to returning.

We stayed at the Albert Cottage for one night and had a fantastic experience. We arrived 7 hours late in Scotland due to serious air traffic problems and, given the late hour, Jakie and Robin offered us a snack because we hadn't even managed to eat during the day. The welcome was excellent, so much so that spending time with Jakie and Robin was an added value to our stay. The Cottage is welcoming, the cleanliness is very good and my whole family agrees that the one eaten here is the best breakfast eaten in Scotland (and we have now been here for 10 days), with an extreme search for the quality of the food and the its preparation. It was a real pleasure staying here!

This is an exceptional B&B! The rooms are spotless and very comfortable with lots of attention to detail. The house itself has a cosy atmosphere with a beautiful garden in the back. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of local sourced food! Jackie and Robin made our kids feel very welcome. We had a lovely walk around the village and harbour and were pleasantly surprised by the range and quality of local cafés and restaurants. We found an open air swimming pool and will be back another time bringing our swimming costumes!

We were delighted with our stay. The room was lovely, the bed very comfortable and the en suite bathroom capacious. The breakfast afforded some gems: honeycomb, Stornoway back pudding, home made marmalade and blessedly strong coffee. The whole experience was pleasantly hosted by Robin and Jackie. Many thanks!
