I have been studying at Albemarle for 3 years and my journey there has finally come to an end. From the moment I first joined, I always felt welcomed and supported by my teachers. It is clear they genuinely want the students to do well; they never hesitate to provide extra study sessions and are always there to check up on you and make sure you are happy within and outside of academia (namely Lucy). I have loved my time at Albemarle and will miss all the teachers and students, the fun lessons and the general atmosphere. Thank you Albemarle!

I finished my studies at Albemarle 3 years ago and loved it. It was challenging and not always easy however, it made me study even harder. Now I am graduating uni soon and I am very grateful to have studied my A-levels at Albemarle. I met amazing people here and Albemarle really has that 'little family' kind of feeling. The teachers are amazing and always very supportive and understanding. I definitely recommend Albemarle College as I had a wonderful experience here, which I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank You.

I went to Albemarle for two years and had the privilege of meeting the most amazing people. I made some lifelong friends and felt so supported by all the teachers and staff members. The small group sized classes are ideal in reinforcing focus as well as engaging in compelling group discussions. Most importantly, the teachers are always there to help guide the students as well as hear out any of their concerns, to ensure that students achieve their full potential-not just academically.

My son attended Albemarle for the 2018-2019 school year to repeat 2 A-levels. From the start, the staff and teachers were extremely friendly, supportive, encouraging and professional. They were always there for him and provided extra revision lessons whenever he needed help or attention. He improved his A-level results by 3 & 2 grades and earned an engineering place at a Russell Group university.

Nothing short of amazing and the best personal experience of my life so far. I studied my A-Levels here. I applied to medicine and got AAAA, I have been accepted to my first choice.

Teachers: My teachers were fantastic all round, and the relationship you develop with them is very special. Anytime I wanted help outside of class they would sit me down and wouldn’t let me leave until they were sure I understood what they were telling me. As the class sizes are very small you will feel like you are under a microscope with them but it is ultimately for your benefit as this helps you get what you want. It is not easy to find good teachers in all the subjects you want to do but Albemarle have succeeded in that.
The teachers and both principals are extremely supportive and understanding. They were the first education professionals who actually believed I could apply to study medicine and put no obstacles in pursuit of my dream. This meant so much to me as in my previous schools (GCSE and AS Level) I wasn’t even strongly advised against it, it was just a straight no from them. The teachers here do a brilliant job and they have turned the grades of many students around, myself included.

Principals: Beverley and James are lovely people, and it means a lot that they take time from their busy schedules to personally teach lessons too. Even though James was not my curriculum manager this year, I was still able to go to his office and ask for advice whenever I needed it. They are both very experienced individuals in that they will work with you to help you achieve what you want. Beverley and James prevented me from making some educational choices I would later regret and I feel this is very important because you need a curriculum manager who will tell you the truth and not sugar coat anything rather than one who is nice, but isn’t really productive. They only want the best for you.

Pastoral care: The welfare officer, Tracy is a lovely lady however you can tell anyone in the school about whatever you wish. When my father was diagnosed with cancer, although I didn’t really speak about it much my teachers were very sensitive to it and helped me during this difficult time. I will not forgot the kindness of these wonderful people.

Atmosphere: It is a very small school, which yields great benefits such as having a tight knit community to match it. Everyone knows everyone, and we are all civil to each other. Everybody respects each other and it is easy to get into a conversation with anyone you don’t know. Both administrators and teachers are very friendly and they always politely greet you which may not seem like it is very important, but as a stressed out student it is rather nice to know that it isn’t tense at school. You can walk into the staff room as you please and ask for any help you may need with work.

Quality of education: In my opinion, my experience here has been priceless and the fees do not justify how much I have been helped. The monthly mock exams really makes Albemarle different to other schools/colleges as you get so used to sitting exams that by the time the real ones come around, you are hardly nervous. They are also an excellent opportunity to consolidate your learning and help you iron out any difficulties you may be experiencing. The teachers spend a lot of time tailoring these exams and marking your work in depth, as well as going through the mock exams in class. However this is not to say you are guaranteed excellent results if you come to Albemarle! The teachers who do their best is only about 25% of the effort- the other 75% is entirely up to you and the only way you will get what you want is if you work with your teachers and do your part. You are in charge of your own capabilities and it would be a huge shame if you did not utilise the excellent opportunities here at Albemarle.

I have never had such an enjoyable education experience and I am very sad to leave Albemarle. My parents have been so pleased with this school that they will send my younger sister there in the coming academic year.

Brilliant college located in the heart of london. I didn't quite make good enough grades in my GCSEs and seemed like my days were over until I heard about Albemarle. Albemarle gave me a second chance. They offer help to students that need it, the sense of warmth and openness around the college is fantastic and how approachable the staff are is over and above the requirements. If you're looking for somewhere to start/ finish your a levels, you will not regret it if u choose Albemarle.
