This has been a building site for longer than recorded history. When the Greeks took Troy, there was a building site here. When Hannibal crossed the Alps, there were building site here. Henry the VIII dissolved the monasteries, but not the building sites. Lloyd George referenced this building site several times in his memoirs in between slandering Haig and slandering Robinson.
The most strange thing of all is that despite this, no actual building is done, and it remains in a state of primordial decay. It is said that they are waiting for more scaffolding.
