Highly recommended for a perusal as an adult to get a blast from one's own childhood. It'd be great to take older kids to as well, as almost everything is fully functional and usable. You can show your kids how to play Sonic or Mario.

Tucked away on an industrial estate this is a decent museum for nerds & computing casuals alike. Very hands on too, lots of old machines to play on. Only complaint was that we visited on a warm day but there were no fans or any air conditioning so we suffered a bit & cut our stay short.

Really enjoyed this small museum. A huge amount of kit to be reacquainted with, some amazingly researched stories which uncover how so much of the technology we take for granted came about. Really appreciated the “herstory” articles and, having had one when I was a kid and they were launched…an Intellivision!

I am so glad that places like this exist. All of the computers and computing tech through my childhood to adulthood all lovely preserved (and functional) are here. Many devices I had heard of, read about but never seen before are here. Absolutely loved my time there.

This is an amazing place, full of treasure. You can find Apple II, BBC Micro, Sinclare, Tatung and Commodore, and lots of game console like Nintendo Wii, Playstation and XBox from year dot to Wii Sport. Also IBM chess computer and AI, mobile phones from early years, as well as "big computers" like DEC and IBM 370.
It is good for children to learn things, and develop love for computing. And it's also good for adults to walk down the memory lane. Came here with my wife and son and we all love it. There's Pacman, Space inviders, Diggers, Kungfu, Atari too.

A marvelous place for my boys. We came at 12, left at closing time. We definitely needed more time. We didn't get the chance to play or even touch everything. We were so mesmerized by this place, forgot we needed to eat. Massive collection.
Even the 2 year old had games to play.
The parking is free.
Teas and coffee, cakes and cookies, snacks and ice-cream available. Decent prices.

We spent such a fun afternoon here. Brought back a lot of memories of old technology. Almost everything is plugged in and useable, so we played loads of retro computer games. So many different types of computer, consoles, some classic arcade machines and interesting information cards to accompany each item. Very accessible - all on one level. Lots of things to do seated, plus some standing but lots of seating around for breaks. Well spaced out so would be wheelchair friendly. Would recommend highly.
