First of all I’m apologising to all of you because I’m reviewing about my story so late. I got my GCSE’s grade on 22nd August 2024. After that I plan to go to Leeds City College, Leeds with my friends. We spend £5 to buy a day rider to go to there. When we went to college the teacher for enrolment was very rude and mood. They didn’t help us, giving guidelines about the courses we want to do. They are racist. There was one teacher there for enrolment she say to me and my friend that she will not let us be in one course for no reason. They leave us hopeless 😔. I remember there was a Sir how was laughing at us. They must help us because we were new in the country and we told them before we tell them anything else.

I studied under creative ambitions, a foundation and BA Hons degree for fashion, theatre and media hair and makeup and If it wasn't for the blatant favouritism and unfairness I would've really enjoyed this course. I did a total of 3 years working hard on gaining work experience, gaining outstanding student on my first graduation, Graduating with a BA Hons degree with a first and I have nothing to show for it. No help in getting into the industry by my tutors and have since received no contact from them since. This was something they reassured us since the beginning and yet those who seemed to take a shine to the tutors have had pretty successful first steps into the industry and those who truly worked tooth and bone throughout the course has been left out of the picture. I wish I never tried as hard as I did now knowing that all it took was to be loud and friendly and whiney to the tutors to get where I wanted to go. Id you want a course that will appreciate your talent,hard work and commitment to the industry do not go here.

Absolutely awful college, teachers are over worked, management do not even bother to care to support teachers only think about their own pockets, classrooms are always double booked and no one in the college actually cares about the students

I would have given no stars. I remember in September 2019 when I first applied for the Access to HE engineering course. Unfortunately that course was full and was unable to accommodate me. However the people in college were trying to put me into another course that was not related to engineering. It was there way of trying to make money rather than looking at students passion in a specific subject. College is a money making scheme.That Obnoxious Nikki Cookson didn't understand my situation and left me in tears after telling her I wanted to study engineering. I left the college and never went back. Hated the way I was treated. Believe me I did complain and nothing really happened. The college doesn't really care about your tears or emotions they just want to find ways of making money whether or not if your interested in the course. They will just know the situation and dust it. I would not recommend this college.

My Daughter attends the 14+ Academy here. After many promises of a better school life, I feel constantly let down. Much is expected of parents with very little given back by the academy. Nicky the deputy head is obnoxious, disrespectful and puts rules and policy above the well-being of students.

Dilapidated and confusing building. Only equaled by the terrible teaching. The teacher get students to give the good reviews while in the classroom.
If this is the future of Leeds education then Leeds is in big trouble.
One of the teachers actually walked out and never came back due to the bulling from management and students.
Avoid any part of this so called college.

Tutors are supportive and accommodate for everyone. I did my childcare and education L3 here and the course was fab. Very detailed and thorough which covers a lot. Shame about the building erghh it needs knocking down and rebuilding!

Best avoid.
LCC has a very bad reputation for a reason. Because it is a bad college! It's run by management who have no idea what really goes on in the classroom. They live in a dream world of, "all is well", while the courses are terrible, the teaching is 4th rate and most of the classes are filled by people who don't want to be there but have to be to keep benefits coming in.
Go to the Building College. It's independent from LCC and as a result a thousand times better.
