I decided to wait a few years to write my comment because i wanted to make sure it was actually them and not my child.
My child has decided to enroll at this college to do Business studies BTEC, because i studied there as a young person and even got the grades to go to university so she expected to get the same results, however I have to say that i am very disappointed with how much the college has change in a negative way.
The teachers never turns up to class and cancels the lessons regularly. They would mark my child absent and accuse her of having low attendance. My child complained that when she would ask for help with her assingment, they would make her feel bad and question her knowledge in a negative way, this has caused my child to stop asking for help which affected her grades. All the times i have attended parents meeting in my child's schools i always got positive feedback, however When i went to parents meeting in CWC, they did everything they could to embarrass her. When i spoke to the teacher, i could tell that most of them were unqualified and did not know what they were talking about and the fact they kept replacing teachers this did not help at all. I work in an Education enviourment and to come to CWC college to see such unprofessional behavior, it was very insulting.

I told my child to leave the college and repeat the year somewhere else. When she moved to another college she was able to regain her confidence and bring her grades back up. She's now at university which she could have started a year ago if they didn't waste her time. I would not advise any parents to send their child to this college, other parents has complained about the same issues when sending their child to CWC . Do not attend to this college to study, it is a disappointment, Only a nice building and poor education.

Do not try to silence me. As you have others CWC , I refuse to be silenced.

Staff at CWC are absolutely treacherous. They turn up whenever they want. My teacher couldn't even speak English and had zero experience in the subject in which we were being taught.

Open drug dealing and gang activity on campus. Total lack of control from security and some staff members clearly involved in or at the least turning a blind eye to open criminal activities within and around the building.

Total code red on the danger scale.

100% inappropriate as a place of education.

CWC is actually more dangerous than just hanging around on the street in what is an extremely high crime area. This is because CWC acts as a magnet for young gang members to congregate.

But ultimately, it's staff who are the final nail in the coffin for CWC. It's the absolute bottom of the barrel staff members who ultimately make CWC the absolute cesspit of humanity. Not only is this they worst and most shocking place of education I have ever attended, but it is also they worst building I have had the misfortune to enter in my entire life and I lived in a block controlled by the SN1 gang in Peckham for over a decade. Although that was hell, compared to CWC they had more control over their territory, where more punctual, articulate, at least they could actually speak English, kind of, to a higher standard than deemed acceptable CWC at least, which appears to be zero, were more reasonable, lol imagine, and dished out more punishments to those actually in the wrong more often than i ever witnessed at CWC.

Worse than Hell, trust me, I've been there - was in a coma for 3 months. City of Westminster College is worse than prison, I even enjoyed being homeless in winter more.

awful college!. I did my level twos with them and it was complete chaos. Lessons being cancelled last minute, huge gaps in the timetable, completely unprofessional maths teachers, lack of support for SEN students. And if you complain all they do is belittle you into thinking you’re the problem. The only good thing I can say about it was Carole Bowles in the performing arts department was patient with me when I had my medical appointments.

However at the beginning of my level 3 course I had several mental breakdowns and a knee injury involving torn muscles and damaged ligaments. The knee injury was my own doing and the mental breakdowns were part to do with my PTSD, and part to do with the incredibly long hours that even adults would struggle to do and hardly any breaks.

I was transferred off the course and put into an ICT course at CNWL
I was told I had a GUARANTEED place on the course for the academic year 2024-2025 (I have written evidence of this) So I could take a break, heal my knee injury and get myself together for that new year. They insisted they wanted me on the course.

Then over the next few months a need for a service dog came up, as my medications are having awful side effects and the only other way my doctors and therapist found that I could manage my mental health without lots of medication would be with an autism service dog. I’m talking about a fully trained service dog.

I had just applied for it and I thought it polite to let cwc know in advance that I’ve applied. And what happened you may ask?. They took me off the course!!. They took back my GUARANTEED place on the course.
They were not open for discussion,
They would not have a meeting about it.

They messaged me saying that they could transfer me to a college for disabled people that’s practically in St Albans!!!. And they know full well I can’t get to because I’m on the complete backend of London. As it was it took me an hour and a half to get to cwc in the first place.

With how they’ve treated me I never want to step inside those doors again, but I wanted to leave this review and contact ofsted so this doesn’t happen to another person.

Oh and cwc, if you’re reading this right now, just know you’ve violated the equality act of 2010 . If I wasn’t so preoccupied with this long process of getting a service dog and finding a new plan for me for the next year, now I’m left without a college or a job, I would sue your behinds. Ofsted have already been contacted.

Facilities are to a ok standard but there is serious issues when it come to education and tutors have not been teaching all the relevant knowledge needed for my course and some tutors don’t put in effort to help us pass if your thinking of having this college as a option don’t bother I have been rushed with little to no knowledge or help from day one it has extremely poor management and lack of communication. If you want to actually excel and get good grades in your field of work don’t come here

Under no circumstances, should you attend this poorly managed college! After studying btec business here for 2 years, I can honestly say that this place is ridiculous. A lot of the teachers here are unhappy and it shows through the level of unprofessionalism. If I could give it ZERO stars I absolutely would. This college is nothing but a pretty building, whoever is in charge needs to reevaluate and make some changes immediately. Not only that but the amount of incidents that have occurred while I’ve attended this college is a big cause for concern. My class also went 5 months without a teacher for our unit and even with endless complaints to the head of department, nothing was done until the very last minute. Even with that they had the audacity to shift the blame onto the students. I REPEAT CHOOSE A DIFFERENT COLLEGE !! I will also be contacting ofsted, because something needs to be done. It’s unacceptable!

This college is the worst place to study due to its unsupportive staff members and disorganized environment.

The worst collage ever I seen
1. Security Control: Issue with security personnel behavior and unrelated warnings from non-security staff.
2. Punctuality of Teachers: Teachers consistently late to classes, disrupting the learning process.
3. Teacher Suitability for Level 1: Concerns about certain teachers' suitability for Level 1 instruction.
4. Catering and Food Quality: Food quality below expected standards, needs improvement for student satisfaction.
5. Attendance on Half-Term Off Days: Mandatory attendance on off days with cover teachers impacts efficiency and student well-being.
6. Agenda in Class: Many classes lack structured agendas, leading to disorganization.
7. Extended College Hours: Long hours may lead to fatigue, especially for adult students, potentially affecting retention rates.
8. Classroom Management: Tutors face challenges in managing classroom, hindering student concentration.
9. Course Outline at Commencement: Lack of detailed course plan leads to student frustration and uncertainty.
10. Communication Responsiveness: Teachers consistently fail to respond to emails or messages, hindering effective support for students.

Conclusion:

The purpose of this review is to convey the educational experience at CWC College. It is hoped that these recommendations will be carefully considered to make the right choice and improve the overall quality of your education.
