Hiking and scrambling the mountains in North Wales is my thing however years of insole wearing had affected my hips and knees big time. Sitting at a desk throughout the day was turning me into a meerkat resulting in neck and shoulder pain that required pain relief most nights. I needed to improve movement throughout my entire body, improve my strength but I wanted to maintain and develop a system for the long term.

I’ve been working with Matt since March and it’s by far the best thing I have done in a while. He’s a patient, knowledgeable bloke who is passionate about fitness and movement. Matt spends time looking at your current range of movement and then devises exercises that develop sound foundations to build on.

I have to admit that I was sceptical with the approach at first. However, I am so pleased to have stuck at it. The improvement far exceeds anything I had managed by myself. Improvement in my strength is noticeable day to day but especially when doing the hiking that I love. No neck, foot, or knee pain means I can push myself to another level and enjoy the experience much more.
Hugely addictive stuff feels like a massively positive investment for the future.

I have been training with Matt for well over a year and the benefits of working with him have been wide ranging. His approach using Functional Range Systems has addressed and improved issues that I thought I would be dealing with forever. I was experiencing plateaus

Since starting training sessions with Matt I have seen my overall strength and technique improve dramatically. He is excellent at explaining new exercises and complex lifts by breaking them down into simple steps, so that they are easy to master.

I now feel more confident to attempt these lifts on my own, knowing I have better technique. I enjoyed the joint and mobility work we have done which has helped both my strength and flexibility when running and cycling. My back and hip strength improved significantly and reduced a lot of pain I was feeling on the bike over long distances. We also did some breathing exercises which were really helpful too. Matt has exceptional knowledge and introduces training methods that are individual to your needs. He is very experienced, helpful and fun to train with. Sessions can be online or in person. Highly recommended.

I have been working with Matt for done months now with a focus on flexibility and strength traning. I can honestly say that my mobility had improved and chronic lower back pain very much reduced. This has allowed me to improve my running gait and enjoy my sport a lot more. Matt really takes time to listen and identify what is needed and develops the program accordingly. Matt is extremely patient and always positive and supportive even when there are some set backs. He always explains the “why” of what we are doing which helps me a lot understanding and gives me tools to keep up my exercises at home between sessions. Would highly recommend for tailored individual training
