I went here from 1983-1986, it was then second to QE college. The mix was 10% Asians mainly Hindu and Sikh, today it the otherway aorund but mainly Muslim. It's staff then predominately white then had a real resentment towards the Indian populus. I did not observed one black and I think one Chinese pupil in that time. My form Mistress, Mrs Bee was superb, but Mr Raworth, Miss Kinighton, and Mr Mosley were totally not cut out for being teachers. The dinner ladies were really racists I wonder in view of the changing demographics if that has changed? I got beaten up there so bad there that I ended up in A&E. Broken ribs, broken nose and three broken fingers. God awful time.

There are four GOOD things about this college:
1. Library, computer access, silent rooms, books and articles to borrow and free printing service.
2. Students from low income families can get free lunch.
3. Super affordable gym access.
4. Sport and lab facilities available.

However, I DON'T recommend this college. The majority of teachers are unsupportive and uncaring. They don't care about their students learning needs and they don't believe in their abilities. Quality of teaching is not great.

The majority of students I met at this college had bad attitudes and enjoyed being involved in drama. They had no goals and no ambition. If you are seeking a healthy and impactful company, this is the wrong college.

Something that shocked me is that one day I couldn't receive any feedback or marks from a paper I completed because my Chemistry teacher lost it. I had to remind her for 2 weeks that I wanted my marked paper back. One day, I was absent, and the following day when I was back, she said that she brought my paper but I was absent. She sounded like it was my fault. Why didn't she give it to me when I came back the day after? That's when I understood she lost it and was simply making an excuse.

There are other things that happened but I'm simply going to keep it short by saying that this college is disorganised which negatively impacts on students academic performance and their mental health.

This college didn't allow me to study the subjects I wanted because they didn't have enough spaces, so I was asked to pick something else. I ended up choosing a subject that I wasn't interested in (A level Politics) due to a lack of subject choice at this college. Not having enough spaces is obviously a problem and it impacts university subject choice.

If you decide to study here, I encourage you to collect evidence from the very start. So if anything happens to you, you have something to show.

one of the well known college, yet one of the best. Teachers are very kind and helpful, there are excellent working conditions and the best place to achieve high qualifications if you are willing to put in the effort as much as the teachers are. I was able to get distinctions in all my work and finished my first year with 2 D*. Thank you

I would not recommend this "college" even to someone willing to waste 2 years of their life. Firstly, the place is more unorganised than a detonation site. I had the pleasure of taking some mock examinations at the beginning of the calendar year, and despite numerous attempts at asking the eunuch that calls "him"self a teacher I never received any feedback, or even a result! Leaving me with no idea how to approach revision before the exam. The colleges administration seem incapable of performing even the most basic of tasks taking 7 weeks to update my address, meaning not only did I miss review day and parents night, I also got to hear Kim Pearson give me a tirade and personally insult my intelligence for this, and when I explained I had not received a letter informing me of my time to attend she insisted I was making excuses rather than listening to me point the colleges incompetencies. Which brings me to my next point, some of the staff employed by the college are the most obnoxious and repugnant people I've ever had the misfortune to meet. During the first of my three years here I suffered through a personal tragedy which resulted in me missing 2 weeks of college. My personal supervisor Clifton Cox; who is meant to be there to offer "support" to students took it upon himself to practically call me a liar and then disparage me further by telling me "your education is important, if something like this happens again your just wasting mine and your time being here (referring to the college)" taking this up with the Vice Principal Sarah Oldfield revealed nothing more than her own contempt of me, choosing to defend his insults rather than listen to me, who had a very valid reason for missing college (to which I should mention, I worked on assignments during my absence and was able to e-mail it to my IT teacher, who was thankfully a lot more understanding). Some of the teachers mainly employed in the business and law departments seemed to be more interested in checking their social media profiles, communicating on WhatsApp, or watching highlights of their favorite soccer teams rather than doing what they are paid to do. I'm looking at you Mohammed Ganchi and Ahmed Noor. The teachers often had worse punctuality than most of the students, especially following the lunch period and instead of apologising for this failure, came up with half-assed excuses and moved on from the apparent train wreck that is their job responsibility. The college is dangerously tergiversating with some of the worst facilities of any public building I've ever seen, let alone a place of education. The standard of some the classrooms is just pitiful, and I truly offer consolation to anyone who has to use them in the future. They offer no parking lot for students who have their own car to travel to college, meaning anyone who travels this way must pay to park, or try and find an unpermitted street (in an area known for drug dealers and theft) for 5-6 hours a day, despite having an unused lot next to the sports hall that is virtually always empty, meaning there is no reason why driving students should not be able to use it. The computing technology at the college is years behind even the most underfunded of institutions, I often used this equipment and silently wondered whether I had travelled back in time to the mid-20th century somehow, maybe I could have utilized this and told my ancestors to advise me to not to come here but that remains to be seen. In addition to this, the Wi-Fi speeds are deplorable as it has been slowed in order to discourage students from accessing YouTube, instead of just blocking access to the site. Peculiarly, the food served in the colleges eating area is actually of a befitting quality, however this is torpedoed by the abominable waiting times to get served even the most basic of meals. In summary, unless you are heir to a vast fortune, a military brat, or in witness protection do not attend Regent College you will have the joy of dealing with: inept and bumbling staff, being impugned by said staff and pitiable facilities.

Terrible college, rude and clueless staff, an even worse management and admin team. The personal supervisors are rude and only care about your attendance otherwise they don’t want to know.

The facilities at the college are poor. The food in the dinner hall is almost inedible and the college force you to pay way too much for it, the staff are rude and won’t even allow you to eat your own food in there they kick you out, claiming you are taking up “other peoples seating”.

Most of the teachers are horrible and don’t know what they are doing half the time. Deb West and Mr Hussein (business) are awful and have attitudes to match, then they spend half the time browsing facebook or on their phones yet moan at students for doing the exact same thing, hypocritical much? Mr Hussein even called me stupid for having to retake my maths this year.

The admin team of the college are terrible, I had to pay to receive a new student card because mine was misplaced by my business teacher (they take the Student cards for exchange when borrowing a laptop), the admin team are meant to lend out laptops but never seem to be able to do so.

I will not be returning in September and am going to Leicester college instead, the only positive thing I will miss are my Maths and English teachers (Janet and Sam) who are very friendly, polite and helpful. I can say I will pass my maths retake this year and would probably pass A Level English if I’d stayed on next year.

Wouldn't recommend this college at all, would give 0 stars if possible, teachers are the only good thing about this college. There is no area to sit and chill other than the canteen where u dont wonna sit anyway after u finish ur food anyway. Staff is rude, supervisors only care about ur attendance and nothing else, you cant enter the college without ID because security guards ask u for ID, yet they see ur face every single day. If u lose ur ID you cant enter college even tho they see u every day so u have to pay £5 for a new one. Ripping students off.

I was a student for a year at the Regent campus and learning there was a great experience for me but the facilities had many issues like WiFi issues but now the place is developing as they merge with the WQE campus that looks Awful but has Great Facilities
