This university only cares about money and doesn’t care about education they live off international students don’t go to this university if you want to get a job.

I did the business analytics course where the only thing useful thing we learnt was Python. When we asked them to include power BI they said you can learn that online.

So 20K was paid to them but for an actual useful tool we have to go online we have to pay a separate fee for that.

I hope this university gets shut down because it’s waste of space and I hope all the lecturers loose their jobs because they are useless.

Also to the people who put good reviews I hope it was worth it lying here and getting paid.

It’s was never that good. They did a good job promoting it at top. Many people were disappointed I was one. Student support none about, and staff support with assignments never to be asked. I regret studying here, by no chance I got a job based on the qualifications from here. It was just a paper to stand out nothing else. Waste of time and money! All they are bothered about it’s how much they can fleece from you. An education is no longer suited for employment it’s requires much more such as years of experience. Having a paper proves nothing!

Beware international students do not waste your money for this greedy racist institute they call a university. Would give negative rating to this.

I have had first hand and experience with them. They will admit you within 2 days of application and take all the money but there is no help to students what so ever.

My very close friend was the brightest one in his grad school and came for masters in AI with very big hopes here and scored 80-90% in all subjects with his own efforts but they failed him in 1 subject and there was no explanation. He begged and begged to all the teachers no response. All they do is ask to book an appointment which you get after 1 month and all they said was it’s gonna be alright.

Guess what? It doesn’t. Me and my friend went to the uni everyday to request a meeting with anyone who would help us, there was no response as nobody knew anything- useless student center, and we somehow managed to see a board member who surprisingly was so rude and racist she literally screamed at us for not booking an appointment with her.

Tell us aston if you are reading this, are you a university or a gp? There are no available appointments, teachers are always on holiday, and who ever you can get your hands on just says -“chill”.

My friend, the brightest one, who can code in his sleep, was failed, did not get any help, was mis lead by his module leader who wasted his time. My friend’s visa expired and he could not renew it because the university failed the most talented man i have ever seen for no reason. He had taken a huge loan to study here. He did not want to go back because his family would go bankrupt.

Some other greedy man gave him a healthcare job with bad hours and very poor work. A double masters, a masters in AI from aston, where will it lead you? To changing diapers of very sick people. Nothing wrong with the work, but a very sad thing for a very passionate person who lives to code.

The university broke my friend’s confidence, morale, destroyed his career, crushed his dreams. They did not give him any chance to explain or give another try.

All they want is money, your career can go to hell. Do not trust them, do not trust the professors, do not trust the board.

Thank you professor Hdi, hope your kids get teachers like you and your colleagues and have a very bright future, exactly like my friend. God sees everything.

P.S. My friend got a distinction in his final dissertation for developing a very impressive AI model.

PPS he was failed by the uni anyway and is currently still depressed because of the crushed dreams and works as a support worker who cleans patients houses and toilets.

PPPS another friend didn’t even get her test result for 4 months, then suddenly got her passing certificate which clearly shows that she got 30 out of 100 🙂

Nice, clean and functional with a contemporary design. The location is close enough to Birmingham to enjoy city life, but close to the ring road for easy motorway access. Theres a young fell about the area as its surrounded by a number of universities.
I wouldn't recommend the room service as my pizza was burnt, but the breakfast was varied and constantly replenished

I visited Aston University for 3 months and I really enjoyed it. The people are very nice and friendly. It has an international atmosphere. Lecturers are very good. The campus is beautiful, especially the lake and the birds. The location of university is great, it's close to city centre.

The only Aston University graduate I've come across is impressive. Her critical thinking, reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills are superb! She's also highly valued by her bosses. She's also so altruistic to have chosen to be a school counsellor. Because of her, I began to be interested in Aston. I must say that I don't understand why the global ranking of Aston is close to 700 if they can produce such stirling graduates!

Ex Aston university graduate, who plays regularly at the university football pitches. I was not allowed to use the toilet facilities. i was sent from one building to another like had some sort of criminal plan. From the Library (located near the pitch) i was told to go to the Student Union, Student Union directed me to the Main Uni entrance. Entered the main building and got ignored by one of the security guards sitting at the welcome desk, who was securing nothing but his phone. I then spoke to two other guards who where standing near the barriers within the building, they politely requested i go to the woodcock centre. As someone that has spent several thousands of pounds at this uni and using there facility to play football, it did not feel too nice.

Worst experience with the finance department. Never answer you when you call them or send them an email. Their office closed down during covid, so good luck reaching them out! The only thing they are doing is send the stupid noreply bot email asking for the next payment due. And try to access an obsolete website SOLVE and hope that this time they will notice your presence in that mountain of cash they are drowning in.
