It's my first time there and I joined an annual membership. I think it worth every cent of it! I spent a whole day there and watched birds at different corners and still didn't cover all spaces. What a peaceful and well managed places. Plan to visit regularly.

Cost us (two adults, 4 year old and 9 month old) almost £50 to get in and there’s really not much to do to make it worth the cost. It’s a lovely day out but I think unless you’re a bird enthusiast, it’s not worth the money. Also warning: the food at the cafe is awful and overpriced, take a picnic if you can instead!

We were in Gloucester and saw this place on Google maps and decided to drop in and so glad we did. Really amazing conservation work bringing endangered birds back from the brink of extinction. Loads of wildlife to see, the grounds are immaculate, the facilities, shop and restaurant are first class. Just a brilliant day out.

I loved this trip, so much variety of animals and the food area was relaxing and the food was amazing for the money. The frogs were beautiful with nice enclosures. All the sea animals had big and well treated enclosures. Flamingos there are a sight with 3 species of them They are doing a fabulous job at keeping the animals safe. Overall it's amazing value and the money goes to a good cause, would go again.

My first time visiting yesterday and I was not disappointed. I'm a photographer and went with fellow photography friends and we thoroughly enjoyed all the wildlife. I think the ticket price is reasonable for what it is although we all packed our own lunch because the food is really expensive. Even for a sandwich. There is plenty of car parking spaces available. I'll definitely be visiting again. I also really loved the gift shop

Excellent Wetland centre. Good large car park, Visitor Centre and Cafe with plenty of seating indoors and out.
Do go up the tower to get your bearings before you start. We hadn't realised how large WWT Slimbridge is. There's a range of habitats for wild and captured wild life from across the World. Its a bit like a World Tour and we didn't do it all in 4 hours. No wonder people come back time after time. We bought an annual ticket which also gives access to the other UK Wetland Centres, such good value. We'll be back!

It has been a few years- probably about 6, since we last visited and a lot has changed. One thing that hasn't are the lovely volunteers, all are so knowledgeable about the birds and their environments and all have time to discuss and answer any questions. The (new for us) lego birds/ animals are simply amazing, as a lover of Lego I can only begin to imagine the hours of designing and building that went into each one. While the birds are fed and cared for, with the exception of the one aviary- which is huge, they have the freedom of the whole "estate" so are able to fly/walk/ waddle from lake to lake to river to following visitors on the footpaths. A word of advice, do not wear decent shoes when visiting, the paths can be muddy- obviously and especially at this time of year so don't visit as a last minute decision, unless prepared. The wetland is flat, so suitable for wheelchairs and those with mobility problems and while the site is extensive there is access for all.

The volunteers/ managers/ designers etc. have not only carried on Sir Peter Scott's vision, they are taking it forward for the generations of bird lovers to come and I look forward to returning soon.

Absolutely amazing! Staggering amount of birds, both local legends and visitors from afar. Amazing hides, huge visitors centre with a great giftshop filled with books, equipment, toys, and games (which didn't include Wingspan, which I found surprising). There's also a small number of frogs and newts to check out, which was a welcome surprise. They do shows throughout the day, events and you can see short films or cool bird and otter exhibits from the professionals who work onsite. Seriously, everyone needs to check this place out. Whether you're an avid birder or just fancy a great day out, it's got loads to do and see.
