There are many new and fancy gyms in Crawley, however Energie fitness is the one I would recommend. I was amazed by friendly team that works there and to be honest they have encouraged me to try new things and to accept few challenges. I feel like being among friends there, I do trust staff that works there - true professionals and they are very open and friendly.

Staff desk empty, according to timetables and hours there should be someone at the desk to let in people who use wellhub to access the gym. Presses the “Ask for assistance” button 6 times, no reaction, waited like 20 minutes not a single staff showed up to help. According to the info that was given to me someone should have been available to help. Imagine paying for a service and sabotaging you to get access. Please fix it for Crawley location.

This gym is fine as a basic gym. All the main bits of equipment are there.

The main reason for the poor review is the appalling parking. They have about 5 spaces which are always taken, probably by the staff. They do offer vouchers to park in the public parking but you have to try to park in their 5 spaces first, then go in to the gym office to ask for a voucher and then drive round to the public parking. So this adds another 5 mins of faffing before you can get to the gym. AND that is IF you can find someone in the office. Which on two occasion's so far, there has been no one in the office and so I had to cancel my visit and just come home.

Unless you are local and don't plan on using a car to get here, I'd give this one a miss.

I’m a member of the Putney énergie fitness, which I’ve never had a bad experience of. Equipment is new, I’m able to go in any time during opening hours and guest passes are £5. I have a WOW membership which allows multi- gym access. As a student, this is good as it means I can use the gym in Putney and then in Crawley when I am home over the holidays. However, the Crawley énergie is far inferior. I am not allowed in the gym past 8pm on weekdays and 1pm on weekends which is ridiculous as I work. This is due to staff working hours even though it is advertised as 24/h, if it isn’t your home gym then you will be very limited. The guest pass is £10 and the equipment is much older and lacks variation compared to the Putney énergie fitness. Furthermore, to get into the gym, majority of members in Crawley have a Face ID, which I was sent a link for and set up to use - and it worked perfectly fine no issues, as it should do. Despite this, I was told that this is not allowed if Crawley isn’t my original gym and my Face ID was deleted and now I must press the assistance button which LOUDLY announces for a member of staff to help me sign in every single time I come in and leave the gym. Having to do this every time is so inconvenient to both me and the staff especially as I literally have a membership that states it includes multi-gym access 24/7. This is not great when many people such as myself finish work at 6-6:30 and then I’m not allowed into the gym past 8. That’s 1.5 hours to change, do my workout and leave whilst needing staff assistance to even enter the gym both before and after my workout. Just really disappointing and makes me uncomfortable attending and unable to use the gym when I need. I hope énergie adjusts these policies because I don’t know why I am paying a higher price for such a terrible package.

Great Gym for the price, I train late so parking never an issue. Sometimes can get a bit ferel in the un-staffed hours but what can you do, I still get a decent workout

Epic Membership - Infra Red Sauna Review

Last month, I decided to upgrade my membership to Epic. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself in 2024.

I’ve noticed a few improvements in myself, having used the sauna for just over 2 months.

Here is what I’ve noticed:

- My performance during workouts has improved massively. I’ve become more focussed and sharp whilst exercising.
- My muscles have become less sore. This has helped to bump up my endurance levels.
- The sauna has helped me to chill out and sleep like a baby. My anxiety levels have calmed down and have helped to lift my mood. My sleep data on my phone shows that I’m getting more into deeper sleep.
- The tightness and discomfort in my body has also eased. I’m getting far less headaches nowadays and my stress levels have improved.
- My flexibility has improved whilst stretching out my body after an intense workout.

A cheap and cheerful but tired gym. When quiet you can have a great workout as there's a good range of equipment. The issue is a lot of the equipment is showing its age (spin bikes constantly breaking, none of the rowers work properly with the foot straps constantly coming loose) and it can be stifling hot sometimes. Parking not ideal. For weight training it's a really solid commercial gym. A few new machines would be nice but for the price you pay its not bad value for money at all.
When unstaffed only the disabled toilet is open which can be absolutely filthy sometimes and there's nowhere to dry your hands.
Overall decent gym with friendly staff. Could be really good if energie invested some more money into it

Great gym, super friendly staff, first time I’ve used it and will definitely be using it again. Clean equipment, tidy place with no weights laying around. A friendly vibe all around and a variety of equipment. A special ‘Thank you’ to Maz who was extremely helpful today, greeted with warm smiles and made to feel welcome. Another ‘Thank you’ to Karen, who was happy to help. The combination of brilliant staff and the gym,I cannot fault the place. Well done to all.
