FORT KNOX.

walked into the college, on the side entrance. Was asked to show my college badge, I told them I was just going to see learner services, she told me to go to main entrance, I went to the main entrance and to my surprise it was like a prison, an Army base, or police headquaters, there is security everywhere, there is barriers so you can't just walk in.

Second of all, I spoke to learner services of whcih was very open planned, which I didnt like as I don't like my business being heard by other people walking in. Last time I came in they sat me down with an advisor who helped me and went above an beyond, thats nothing what I received today.

I told the gentleman about I needed 5 gcses a-c he said they only offer maths and english as a GCSE, which I was so confused about as they are a college, but only offering 2 subjects on a GCSE level.

I then told him I wanted to do a ALevel in english language, he then told me the college also didn't offer Alevels. So in the space of being there for 2 minutes all he told me is what the college didn't offer, instead of offering. Of which my response was "I don't mean this about you mate, but I've never known a college to offer absolutely nothing"

It was so much better and less gruling when it used to be warrington collegiet. You actually had advisors who were actually bothered to help and go above and beyond for you.

Will happily take myself elsewhere.

Would score Zero if it would let me currently unable to do a resit despite being emailed by my tutor (this was the 4th tutor in just 1 academic year) to say it was possible so I’ve wasted 2 years (I’m a busy mum of 3) and £5,000 + on trying to gain a qualification !! Currently liaising with Ofqual, Ofsted, OIAHE and the CpCAB to try and get support, if you want a qualification from a supportive environment DO NOT study here !!

As an adult learner, working within the construction industry, the course content gave me more knowledge into the industries areas that I do not work in. The only issue me course had was we had 3 different tutors delivering the course content, this throw our course of pace due to the change in the first year. The last tutor who still runs the course when posting this review were great tutor, he delivers the course with enjoyable enthusiasm and also there to support you in your personal life. Overall a great course, great tutor and enjoyable environment to learn if you have been out of the educational system for a long time.

My two years were enjoyable, as with any college or university there can be barriers, however, I found the tutors and staff approachable. This meant that my learning was taken into consideration, and I was supported, at the start of the 2nd year I was registered disabled, with an invisible disability. Not only did I get the support and understanding that I needed. There were staff members that went above and beyond for me to enable a comfortable transition within the college. I went on to qualify as a counsellor with a practitioner status.

I started my level 2 aat qualification in September and found that all of the staff are really kind and helpful. My tutor is amazing anf I’m learning so much. There’s a lot of accessible areas making it really easy for me to get around too. I’ll definitely be returning to do my level 3 diploma. I can’t wait

I Have completed level 2, 3 and I am currently on level 4 counselling at this college as an adult learner and all the staff; librarians, catering staff, learner services, cleaners and teaching staff have been patient, polite, supportive, friendly and helpful.
I hope that I am able to become a professional in my chosen field of study and whether I achieve my goals or not, I know the teaching and support staff have given me the best possible opportunities to succeed.

I began my studies at WVR during 2022 and it is a privilege to be studying there to this day. The college always go the extra mile, from reception, learner services, the superb catering staff, and those who work so hard to keep the facilities spotless.
The teaching staff are tremendous, person-centred, kind, and considerate; role models. Hats off to the librarians who have enabled me to find what I need to nourish my studies, and to the IT department for the excellent website.
