Stuart responded promptly to my initial enquiry and I booked a DAS course to obtain my full motorbike licence.
Despite not being a motorcycle rider, Stuart gave me the advice required to pass the mod1 and mod 2 tests.
After an initial hiccup on my first mod 1, the weather was atrocious! Stuart arranged a short additional training to show me that I had all the skills to pass. 2nd attempt resulted in a pass. I then took the mod 2 in Salisbury and passed first time.
I would definitely recommend Andover rider training and found Stuart to be encouraging and very knowledgeable.

I had two attempts with Stuart last year to pass my CBT, having never been on a motorbike before. The instruction was not really suited to me - I wanted to learn on a geared bike but there just wasn’t enough space or time to embed the basics of machine control before other elements were introduced. I said I just needed time to get my muscle memory for the throttle and clutch but in such a tiny training area this wasn’t possible. I was put onto an automatic but I had lost my confidence at this stage so didn’t go out on the road on either day. I had to pay full price each time. I have just completed my CBT elsewhere over 2 and a half days which suited me so much more and gave me the time and space to practise and embed the basics before moving on. Stuart is very personable and obviously knows his stuff, but this place is not really suitable for complete novices like me who need more practice than a couple of hours before going out onto the road.

Stuart made me feel totally at ease whilst carrying out my CBT course on Saturday. It has been a while since I was on a Scooter, but he was very informative, calm and patient and my nerves soon went away. He is a great guy for the job and I won't have any hesitation in going back there in 2 years time . Thanks Stuart

Today I passed my DAS full cat A licence with Stuart at Andover Rider Training

I first saw the great reviews on ART before checking their website. I sent an email registering my interest for the DAS course, having only ridden 125s in my late teens and haven’t touch a motorcycle in around 10 years since. Stuart was great, he called me and discussed my experience and invited me for a trial ride on a 125 before committing to any course plan! I then booked in a four session DAS course, of which the price was very competitive to others in the area and around Andover - to be fair the best price for the course including bike, insurance, gear fuel and time etc.
the first full day on the 650cc was great starting with clutch control through to road riding. The second, we rode to the test centre in Greenham where we got to practice on the Mod 1 test area! This was brilliant, practising on the area you would be taking the mod 1 serves better than say a car park or school playground like some other rider training academies for offering for more money!
The third day we rode to the same test centre to complete the mod 1 and the fourth was the day of the on road mod 2 test!
Between all of these Stuart was fantastic at tutoring and coaching. This including him showing and commentating on the routes and skills he was teaching but also him observing us and proving feedback. He picked out strengths and weaknesses, to which he coached me appropriately to the point in such a short space of time I was at a point of riding safely in preparation for the tests

The bikes you train on are well balanced, and great to learn on. I was at first nervous of riding a bigger bike but actually it was so much easier than riding the 125 he lent me for a day to practice on! (Which again was a great part of the service with Stuart at Andover Rider Training)

All in all, he taught me the skills and techniques for both the mod 1 and 2 of the test, with the most competitive pricing and I couldn’t recommend him enough to other riders both inexperienced and experience looking for the DAS, CBT or other courses they offer!
