I completed my degree in International Tourism Management at University College Birmingham, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. All my lecturers were amazing and incredibly supportive, always willing to help and guide us. The modules were well-chosen and provided a comprehensive understanding of the tourism industry. Throughout my time there, I felt that the university was genuinely invested in our success, offering plenty of resources and support, including financial assistance for students. I couldn’t recommend this university enough – it’s truly the best place to study!

Worst university in Birmingham they jst fail to every student for money many of teachers don’t know how to behave with students , no matter how good assignments you made it and submit there mind is to fail you, one of your supervisors passed your assignment but the same assignment checked by other then they will fail again. And there course fees is also high than others. I recommend don’t come in this university specifically international student.

UPDATE JAN 14TH: Just an update that we still have no tefund. The situation is frankly a scandal. We have now been informed that the department we have been dealing with only forwards firm for refund and have been passed into another department. We are now a month beyond the already ridiculous refund cycle of 12 weeks.

16 weeks and counting and still getting the run around from this organisation.

UPDATE 4 DEC 31ST: Having been promised (quite rudely and abruptly) , we are now starting Week 14 waiting for a refund from this institute. Will keep updating...
UPDATE NUMBER 3 - We have now been waiting for 13 weeks and still have received np refund from this organisation.
Still chasing...
UPDATE AND DOWNGRADE: An update on my previous review and in response to the reply below. Thank you to the colleague who replied to my message, much appreciated. However I am now downgrading to 1 Star as we did email the individual for whom details were provided.
We got an Out of Office with another email provided for follow up. We dutifully emailed that email address and currently, at 3 weeks plus and counting, still have received no reply.

You just need the consider, is it really feasible to have thousands of pounds sitting in some one else's bank account for over 2 months. We have an original date of Dec 19th so will wait till that date to see if we do get our money back....completely unimpressed and have decided that we will not be pursuing admission at this institute going forward.

Original review: We contacted this institute regarding a degree course which would have been fully privately funded. Quite helpful however we decided not to proceed before the term started. Refund time for deposit of over £2000 was given as 12 weeks which quite simply is scandalous. People can decide for themselves whether that is fair practice.

Great uni experience so far, the rugby team is cracker great coaching from Brad and loads of facilities available for us like strength and conditioning coaching and stem clinic for recovery. The coaching top notch definitely see all the lads getting better by the week and a really strong side for playing social rugby

University seems quite decent but they're let down by their disorganised admissions teams which has the poorest communication skills that I have experienced from equivalant admissions teams at other universities. They're very hard to get hold of and there response time is so slow that it places candidates into difficult situations when it comes to making decisions. Im surprised that UCB management hasn't picked up or responded to these issues.

The security guard was very rude when I ask if my younger cousin came through with some other females and ask if I can go through cause I was with them and he refused to let me in he told me I had to wait on the outside of the building.

My cousin came down to explain I was with them and he just keeping saying I had to wait outside.

Worst experience I ever had a uni to date.

I finished my degree in Sports and Fitness Studies. During my three years, my teachers was really supportive. In my opinion, this university is really helpful as due the facilities that they provide, specially for practical courses. I am working as a students ambassador, that helping me to meet new people, learn new skills and contribute in events. The hired department provide support to students when they finish the degree, is really helpful for the first moments in jobs market.

I graduated from UCB in 2015 and I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for the support from the lectures and the additional staff. During my three year Sports Therapy course, I was able to go into the field of work of my choice (medical clinics) during my placements and gain ample experiences along the way. Since then, I have managed to my own injury clinic (SN Clinic - www.snclinic.co.uk) and work with along side other qualified therapists, one who also graduated from UCB. I would recommended this Uni to help shape your future.
