Almost lost for words to describe this place. Astonishing surroundings (more like an English Heritage site?) than a university campus.
We visited as a contender uni for our son. We missed an opend day by a week (don't ask 🙄) but when we turned up, we were very kindly, offered to join an organised tour. Unable to visit the specific teaching areas because the music department was undergoing a significant refurbishment, and it was also out of term time, but we still walked the site and communal buildings. Super surprised with the serene location - I imagine it would be a really stunning location for those with creative minds but not those who want to be in the thick of the city with police sirens ringing around you 24/7. However, Spa has buses running all day and it is (apparently) only 20 minutes to get into the city. Sounds like best of both worlds there.

We visited Bath Spa University for an open day. We were totally taken aback by the outstanding rural setting, considering its proximity to the built up, World Heritage Site, Bath. Newton Park's Main House, built for Joseph Langton from 1762-1765 set in Capability Brown gardens and leased from the Prince of Wales, is Grade 1 listed. The site has been expanded over the years. with sympathetic and contemporary additions, to make up the campus present today. The staff and pupils were amazing. What a gem!

As a campus, it's one of the best you'll find. It's large considering the number of students BSU has as well as being absolutely beautiful, with nature at every turn. Walks are always magical and campus is very convenient, being not so large that the SU is impossibly far from Lakeside; but not so small that you can't go on a leisurely walk. Staff and students are also nothing but polite and respectful.

Bath Spa University is stunning! I would argue there is no where like it in the UK. The aesthetics and grounds are not the only positives, the lecturers, staff students make it outstanding. I am beginning my studies there in September 2020 and I did a lot of research into my chosen universities. No matter how I look at it, I could not see myself anywhere but here. A dream come true.

I studied a BA Business & Management (undergraduate degree) at Bath Spa University between 2020-2023 full time as a mature student (in very late 20's at the time of starting the course).

I was awarded a first class honors degree, but this was not down to the university, it was down to my own individual and independent hard work which enabled it (two of the three years I didn't even get to go to campus due to covid restrictions, it was lone working at home doing lectures via video links which they were entirely not set up for or prepared to be offering).

I found the quality of teaching to be particularly poor, unenthusiastic, condecending, slides riddled with spelling and gramatical errors, support levels were poor/borderline inaqaute if you did find yourself wanting or needing help .. Examples of; following a lecture I asked for clarification on one of the points covered, was told to "Google it" , or receiving emails from lecturers with inappopriate language for a student to receive from any lecturer, . 75+% of marks were given back late/beyond their published schedule (super unhelpful!), biased marking within lecture groups also seemed common place. When I raised complaints with heads of faculty these were contained and quashed "oh they're just having a bad time at the moment" was the response - not acceptable in an academic environment. Their own policies were not followed numerous times when managing complaints or service delivery. If I had more free time available to me I would be looking to sue this university for a portion of my £9k per year fees back for breaching their own terms/contract/delivery of services agreement. Don't forget, they are meant to be providing a service which you you are paying for, £27k for - that is a lot of money! The service delivered fell far short of what was due and expected in accordance with their own deliverables, in my humble first class honours opinion.

I wouldn't encourage my own child to attend this university and if I could go back 4 years I wouldn't have picked this university either. Sure, the campus is visually very beautiful, but thats not what going to university is about, its supposed to be about education and receiving quality education. If you have an opportunity to go somewhere else which actually offers that, do it.

All students visa is set to expire on December 31, 2024 (September 2023 -24 batch) and resubmission date for assignments and dissertation posters is Jan 2025 and some are not given yet. Please make sure all dates before 15 December. Don't make education is business. because if submission date is after 31 December then we need to pay extension fee for visa. Please understand.
